Acoustic Research AR-48b Speakers – $375
The AR-48b is a 3-way speaker system with a 10″ woofer, 4″ cone midrange, and .75″ domed tweeter. Manufactured in Massachusetts circa 1984-85.
This pair was recently restored by Midcoast Wind Repair. The foam surrounds on the woofer and midrange cones have been replaced, and all capacitors have been replaced. The vinyl wrap on this pair is in mint condition on the sides and top. Some scratches exist on the bottom of the cabinet. The grill cloth is original and in perfect condition.
This is an outstanding performer that can be used as either a floorstanding speaker or as a bookshelf speaker.
